Description:Tenovin-6 Hydrochloride is a peptide inhibitor that binds to the extracellular domain of the alpha-subunit of the human calcitonin receptor, inhibiting its interaction with its ligand. Tenovin-6 Hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit cAMP production and activate intracellular calcium ion channels. The inhibition of calcium ion channels leads to an increase in intracellular calcium concentration and may be associated with the observed anti-inflammatory effects. This peptide has also been shown to inhibit inflammatory cytokine production by activated T cells and upregulate IL-10 production by monocytes and macrophages. Tenovin-6 Hydrochloride is purified from a fermentation process and is suitable for use in research as a reagent or antibody target in cell biology experiments as well as pharmacological studies.
