Tert-Amyl 2-acetamido-3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-2-deoxy-b-D-glucopyranoside is a custom synthesis that has not been reported in the literature or commercialized. The compound is an oligosaccharide with a fluorinated saccharide unit. It is synthesized by methylation of glycosylation and click modification of the sugar. Tert-Amyl 2-acetamido-3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-2DGPA has been shown to be resistant to enzymatic digestion and hydrolysis by esterases. The compound can also be used as a fluorescent probe for studying carbohydrate metabolism.
