Product Information
- D-Ribofuranose 1-acetate 2,3,5-tribenzoate
- 1-Acetyl-2,3,5-Tribenzoyl-3-D-Ribofuranoside
- Tri-O-Benzoyl-1-O-Acetyl-D-Ribofuranose
1-O-Acetyl-2,3,5-tri-O-benzoyl-D-ribofuranose is a kinetic inhibitor that binds to the active site of L1210 leukemia cells. It inhibits the growth of these cells by reacting with chloride ions and causing cross-coupling reactions. This leads to the production of 2,3,5 triacetylated benzoyl ribofuranoside and 2 aminoadenosine. The latter molecule has significant antitumor effects on human macrophages and Leishmania donovani. 1-O-Acetyl-2,3,5-tri-O-benzoyl-D-ribofuranose also has significant antitumor effects on guanosine and xanthosine in human tumor cells.
