Cerium(IV) hydroxide is a chemical compound that reacts with hydrogen peroxide to form oxygen gas. This reaction occurs at temperatures between -55 and 100 ˚C, with the highest rate of reaction occurring at around 85 ˚C. Cerium(IV) hydroxide can also be used in analytical methods to measure acetaldehyde or mesoporous materials.
