3-Chloro-3-deoxy-1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidene-a-D-glucofuranose is a monosaccharide that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of complex carbohydrates. It is synthesized by the Click reaction of 3,4,5,6,-tetrachlorohexanoic acid with 2,3:5,6-diisopropylidene glucose. This product has been modified by fluorination and saccharide modification.
