• Description: 2-Chloroethyl-2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-a-D-mannopyranoside is a glycosylation agent. It can be used to modify glycoproteins and glycolipids by reacting with the hydroxyl groups of saccharides. 2-Chloroethyl-2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-a-D-mannopyranoside is also used for the synthesis of oligosaccharides and monosaccharides. This product has been shown to react with proteins at a rate of around 1% per hour in aqueous media at pH 7.5 at room temperature.
