Cyanidin-3-O-arabinose chloride is a procyanidin molecule that has been shown to inhibit the activity of dehydroascorbate reductase, an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the metabolism of ascorbic acid. This compound has also been shown to scavenge radicals and decrease melanocarpa formation. Cyanidin-3-O-arabinose chloride has also been found to reduce the production of malic acid by acting on the mitochondria membrane potential in urine samples. It is thought that this compound may have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties due to its effects on Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). Cyanidin-3-O-arabinose chloride is also a flavonol glycoside with low light sensitivity, which can be used for plant protection.br>br>
