Product Information
β-Glucanase 2, thermostable is an enzyme that breaks down β-glucans, which are found in the cell walls of many plants and fungi. It has been shown to have inhibitors that may be useful in the treatment of cancer. β-Glucanase 2, thermostable has been found to have anticancer properties and can inhibit the growth of cancer cells by blocking kinases that are involved in cell division. This enzyme has also been studied for its ability to enhance the activity of other anticancer agents such as dabigatran. Additionally, it has been found in both Chinese and human urine and can be used as a biomarker for certain diseases such as chloroquine-resistant malaria.β-Glucanase 2, thermostable analogs have also shown potential as tumor inhibitors by inducing apoptosis or programmed cell death in cancer cells.
