Description:

Su5208 is a potent and selective kinase inhibitor. It binds to the ATP binding site of the tyrosine kinase receptor and inhibits receptor tyrosine kinase activity. Su5208 has been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, as well as modulate the immune system by regulating T cell activation. This drug has been shown to be efficacious with low toxicity in animal models of cancer, making it a potential candidate for cancer treatment. Su5208 is also an oxindole-based compound that can be synthesized from a readily available starting material.
Su5208 contains a single crystal form with a space group P2(1)2(1)2(1). The molecular geometry consists of two molecules per asymmetric unit, which have an R-factor of 0.049 (Rfree=0.053). The molecule contains two distinct binding sites, which are each occupied by one molecule of Su5208.
