Description:Forodesine is a purine nucleoside that inhibits the nucleoside phosphorylase enzyme and prevents the synthesis of purines. Forodesine also inhibits the mcl-1 protein, which is an inhibitor of t-cell lymphomas. This drug has been shown to be effective in animal models of human lymphoma and leukemia.
