Description:6-Deoxy-L-piscose is a synthetic monosaccharide that has been fluorinated to 6-fluoro-D-piscose. It is a complex carbohydrate that has been synthesized from D-glucose and D-ribose. The glycosylation reaction was conducted with N,N'-diacetylchitobioglycine and the methylation reaction with sodium methoxide. Click modification was performed by reacting 6-deoxy L-piscose with 2-(2′,4′,5′,7′,8′)-octamethyltrigonal bipyramid (OMeTBP) in dry DMF at 120°C for 10 minutes.
