Product Information
Grevillosides are small molecules with a molecular weight of less than 1000. They are components of the plant cell wall and have been demonstrated to bind to receptors on cells, which cause them to protrude. This process is called protrusion and it is stabilized by calcium carbonate. 11-Dehydroxygrevilloside B (11-DHG) is an optical sensor that can be used for detecting cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. 11-DHG binds to the receptor, leading to an increase in light emission and a change in morphology from a rod shape to a rounded shape, which resembles the morphology of cancer cells. 11-DHG also has a polymerase chain reaction effect on DNA synthesis and can be sterilized with heat or radiation.
