It is used in cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. ATI 2341 is a chemokine that binds to the chemokine receptors CXCR4 and CXCR7. ATI 2341 has an inhibitory effect on chemotaxis and inflammatory activity in macrophages. This drug also has a heteromeric complex with other chemokines, such as IL-8, MCP-1, or MIP-1α. ATI 2341 interacts with these other chemokines by binding to their specific agonists, which are found on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) section cells or cancer cells.
