Product Information

Name:
PF CBP1
Controlled Product
Description:

Bromodomain-containing protein 1 (BRCA1) is a transcriptional regulator that contains two bromodomains. BRCA1 is a tumor suppressor protein that has been shown to play a role in the transcriptional regulation of inflammatory genes and genes involved in DNA repair. It also plays a role in radiation response, HIV infection, and cancer progression. BRCA1 is acetylated by histone acetyltransferase p300 and hypoxia-inducible factor-2α (HIF-2α) at the N terminal lysine residues. This modification influences the function of BRCA1, which may be important for tumorigenesis and cancer progression. The expression of BRCA1 has been found to be increased in many types of cancer cells.
PF CBP1 is an inhibitor that targets bromodomains by binding to them as a competitive antagonist. PF CBP1 can inhibit the growth of protoz
