Synonyms:
  • (17a)-17-Hydroxy-19-norpregna-1,3,5(10)-trien-20-yn-3-yl b-D-glucopyranosiduronic acid17a-Ethynylestradiol 3-glucuronide
Description:

Ethynyl estradiol 3-b-D-glucuronide is a synthetic derivative of the endogenous estrogen, 17β-estradiol. It is a glycosylated, complex carbohydrate with a methylation and fluorination modification. Ethynyl estradiol 3-b-D-glucuronide is synthesized by reacting ethynyl estradiol with β-D-glucuronic acid to form an ester linkage between the sugar and steroid molecules. This process also produces an Oligosaccharide as well as Monosaccharides. The synthesis of this compound can be customized for specific needs and is available in high purity.
