Retorphan, a peptide inhibitor, is used as a research tool to study protein interactions and receptor signaling. It has been shown to be an activator of Ligand-gated ion channels, inhibiting the current in response to ligands such as acetylcholine and serotonin. Retorphan also inhibits the activity of Protein Kinase C. Retorphan is a high purity compound with a purity greater than 99%.
