Benocyclidine-d10 is a potential drug target for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer. It binds to dopamine receptors in the brain, which may be a novel mechanism of action for cancer treatment. Studies have shown that benocyclidine-d10 causes an increase in the metabolic activity of rat liver microsomes, which is thought to be due to its inhibition of cocaine metabolism. This drug also has locomotor activity and has been shown to decrease the uptake of radioactive benzene in rats.
