Product Information
Fluorizoline is an active analog of ubiquitin, a small protein that plays a role in the process of protein degradation. It binds to the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway and inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting protein synthesis. Fluorizoline has been shown to induce apoptosis in some cancer cells through the involvement of intracellular Ca2+ levels and pro-apoptotic proteins. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit epidermal growth factor (EGF) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα).
