Description:Fluphenazine is a phenothiazine antipsychotic agent that is metabolized by the liver to form fluphenazine b-D-glucuronide. It can be synthesized using immobilized enzyme, which is an electron donor, and an aliphatic substrate such as methanol. The reaction product is incubated for six hours before it undergoes glucuronidation.
