Aptiganel has been shown to inhibit voltage-gated potassium channels in rat dorsal root ganglion cells, human neuroblastoma cells grown in culture, and cultured mouse embryo spinal cord neurons. Aptiganel also inhibits voltage-gated sodium channels in rat dorsal root ganglion cells and cultured mouse embryo spinal cord neurons.
