Description:
a-D-Galactosamine-1-phosphate is a synthetic, fluorinated glycosylation inhibitor. It inhibits the synthesis of complex carbohydrates and is used in biochemical research. This compound has been shown to inhibit the methylation of glycoproteins and polysaccharides. It also inhibits the phosphorylation of glycogen, which may be useful in cases of diabetes mellitus.
