Description:IBT6A is an analog of ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It has been shown to be resistant to the inactivation that normally occurs when the prostaglandin H synthase (cyclooxygenase) enzyme converts arachidonic acid into prostaglandin H2. IBT6A is also reactive with tyrosine kinases and may have therapeutic potential as a diagnostic tool for cancer.
