CEP-40783 is a potent, selective and orally bioavailable epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor. CEP-40783 inhibits EGFR autophosphorylation and downstream signaling pathways in wild-type mice, as well as tumor cells of different origins. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting cell proliferation. CEP-40783 also has an immunosuppressive effect on T cells, which may be beneficial for autoimmune diseases.
