Product Information
Ganoderic acid tr (GAT) is a potent inhibitor of the activity of a number of enzymes, including protein kinases and phosphatases. It binds to receptors on cancer cells and inhibits the growth of cancer cells. GAT has been shown to inhibit tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), which is an inflammatory cytokine that promotes cancer development, in vitro. GAT has also been shown to inhibit the production of interleukin-8 (IL-8) by macrophages and other immune cells in vitro, which may be due to its ability to bind to Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). GAT can be extracted from Ganoderma lucidum or synthesized from ganoderic acid A. The synthesis process involves carbonyl group reduction with sodium borohydride, followed by treatment with hydroxyl groups in ethanol at room temperature for 24 hours. The product can then be purified by column chromatography with silica
