Product Information
N106 is a microbial pesticide that is able to kill bacteria. It is composed of two parts: a molecule and a diode. The molecule has been shown to induce mitochondrial membrane potential collapse and pro-apoptotic effects in bacterial cells, leading to cell death. N106 has been shown to be active against Gram-negative bacteria, such as Salmonella enterica, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii. N106 is not active against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. This product also has hemolytic activity and can be used for the treatment of rat cardiomyocytes following myocardial infarcts or cellular physiology studies.
