Description:

Kaempferol 3-O-b-D-glucuronide is a methyl ester of kaempferol that has been shown to have antibacterial properties. It is used in the production of bacterial cellulose, which is a widely used biodegradable material for medical devices, such as surgical sutures and catheters. Kaempferol 3-O-b-D-glucuronide also has broad antimicrobial activity against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. This compound was found to be cytotoxic to kidney cells in vitro, so care should be taken when handling this compound.
