It has been shown to increase the uptake of glucose and fatty acids into cells, which may be due to its ability to activate GLUT1. OSS_128167 also has antioxidant effects by increasing levels of ATP in cells. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be used for the treatment of metabolic disorders such as hepatitis and growth factor deficiencies. OSS_128167 has not been shown to regulate transcriptional regulation or histological analysis in studies thus far.
