1-(Pyridin-2-yl)-1,4-diazepane is a ligand that binds to the 5-HT7 receptor, which is expressed primarily in the brain. It has shown low nanomolar affinity for this receptor and has been found to be an antagonist of this receptor. 1-(Pyridin-2-yl)-1,4-diazepane also binds to the dopamine D2 receptor with high affinity and is an antidepressant agent that may be useful for treating depression.
