Description:
a-D-Mannose-1-phosphate dipotassium salt (DMDK) is a synthetic oligosaccharide that was designed and synthesized for use as a potential drug in the treatment of cancer. DMDK has been shown to be an inhibitor of protein glycosylation, which may lead to the prevention of tumor formation. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and can inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA and inhibiting protein synthesis.
