Methyl 2,3-di-O-benzoyl-4,6-O-benzylidene-a-D-glucopyranoside is an inhibitor of factor receptors and inhibits the activation of NFκB in a dose dependent manner. This inhibition leads to decreased production of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF.
