Product Information
Protein phosphatase 2C (PP2C) is a type of protein phosphatase that regulates the activity of other enzymes by removing phosphate groups. PP2C is found in all living cells and has been shown to be involved in many important processes, including signal transduction, ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation, transcriptional regulation, apoptosis pathway, and energy metabolism. PP2C dephosphorylates proteins and regulates their activity by controlling the levels of phosphate groups on them. This enzyme also has basic properties such as its ability to bind to DNA polymerase alpha or beta and its susceptibility to inhibition by p-nitrophenyl phosphate (PNP).
