Description

Quercetin 3-O-b-D-glucuronide is a procyanidin b4 that belongs to the class of natural products. It has been shown to have dna binding activity and antioxidant properties. Quercetin 3-O-b-D-glucuronide is an inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases, which may be due to its ability to inhibit free radicals in mitochondria. Quercetin 3-O-b-D-glucuronide also inhibits nuclear DNA fragmentation by stabilizing mitochondrial membrane potential and inhibiting the release of cytochrome c from mitochondria into the cytosol. Quercetin 3-O-b-D glucuronide also has antioxidant properties, as it can prevent lipid peroxidation in cells.
