Alobresib has been shown to selectively inhibit H3K27me3 binding to the BET family of proteins, which may be an important event in cancer development. Alobresib also has the potential to be repositioned as an antineoplastic drug that can be used for the treatment of cancer, such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloid leukemia.
