Description:D-Sedoheptulose is a sugar that is a member of the pentoses. It has been shown to have a ph optimum of 4.5 and oxidizing potential of -0.18 V. D-Sedoheptulose plays a role in transcriptional regulation and cellular physiology, as well as being involved in the production of acyl chains and disulfide bonds for proteins.
