2,3,4,6-Tetra-O-acetyl-a-D-mannopyranosyl ethylxanthate is an oligosaccharide that can be used as a building block for the synthesis of complex carbohydrates and glycosylation. It is synthesized by the reaction of 2,3,4,6-tetraacetylmannose with ethylxanthate in the presence of triethylamine. This compound is used for methylation reactions and click modification. It can also be used to modify saccharides and monosaccharides. The chemical formula of this compound is C14H24O8.
