The synthesis was carried out on an automated synthesizer using a fluorous phase. TPA is a complex carbohydrate that is a monosaccharide with methylation and glycosylation. It can be hydrolysed to release 3,7-dihydroxyheptanoic acid (DHHA). This product has CAS number 910535-96-5.
