Product Information
- Uridine 5'- (trihydrogen diphosphate)
- P'- (6- deoxy- 6- fluoro- a- D- galactopyranosyl) ester
UDP-6-deoxy-6-fluoro-D-galactose is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of galactooligosaccharides. It can be used as a substrate for glycosyltransferases and glycosidases to produce oligosaccharides, which are important components of glycoconjugates. UDP-6-deoxy-6-fluoro-D-galactose has been shown to be an acceptor for acetylation by trifluoroacetate and trifluoride. Kinetic studies show that UDP-6-deoxy-6-fluoro Dgalactose binds to α1 acid glycoprotein, which may be a drug target.
