Product Information
AZD1080 is a small molecule that binds to the β-catenin protein and inhibits its transcriptional function. AZD1080 has been shown to inhibit the growth of mouse tumor cells that are resistant to other anticancer drugs by blocking the activity of kinase-3β. It also prevents the activation of β-catenin, which is a key regulator in cell growth and proliferation. This drug was also found to bind with high affinity to hepatocyte-like cells and inhibit protein synthesis. AZD1080 is a potent inhibitor of polymerase chain reactions (PCR) and transcriptional regulation that blocks transcription at the promoter level. It binds to DNA's phosphate backbone, preventing DNA from unwinding and elongating into its two strands.
