Description:3'-O-Acetyl-5'-O-DMT-2'-O-methyuridine is a novel nucleoside analogue with anticancer activity. 3'-O-Acetyl-5'-O-DMT-2'-O-methyuridine is a modified deoxyribonucleoside monophosphate, which is activated by phosphorylation to the corresponding diphosphate form and then converted to an antiviral agent. 3'-O-Acetyl-5'-O-DMT-2'-O-methyuridine has been shown to have antiviral activity against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1) and Epstein Barr virus (EBV). This compound also inhibits the proliferation of human cancer cells in vitro and in vivo.
