Description:2,3'-Anhydro-5'-O-p-anisoyl-N4-benzoyl-2'-deoxycytidine is a novel nucleoside analogue with antiviral and anticancer properties. It is an activator of ribonucleotide reductase and inhibits DNA synthesis by inhibiting deoxyribonucleotide reductase. 2,3'-Anhydro-5'-O-p-anisoyl-N4-benzoyl-2'-deoxycytidine has shown to be a potent inhibitor of HIV replication in vitro. It also has anticancer activity by inhibiting the growth of tumor cells and inducing apoptosis.
