It has antiviral and anticancer activities, in addition to its potential as a DNA polymerase inhibitor. N4-Acetyl-2'-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMT-cytidine is chemically synthesized with high purity and can be used for the synthesis of phosphoramidites for DNA synthesis.
