ATP-acetyl-desthiobiotin is a competitive inhibitor of bosutinib (BST), an inhibitor of Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase, which is associated with chronic myeloid leukemia. ATP-acetyl-desthiobiotin has also been shown to induce autophagy and inhibit cell proliferation, making it a potential anticancer drug.
