Description:
2-Aminoperimidine hydrochloride is a salt of aminoperimidine. It is a polyvinyl compound with an osmotic pressure that can be controlled by the concentration of chloride ions. 2-Aminoperimidine hydrochloride is used to remove excess water from the body in cases of severe edema, and can also be used as an osmotic laxative. It has been shown to inhibit nitrate uptake into cells, and can be used for calibration of nitrate ion concentrations.
