Tributylmethylammonium methyl sulfate is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of ethylene diamine, which is an intermediate for the production of nylon. Tributylmethylammonium methyl sulfate has been shown to have minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of less than 0.5mg/L against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Enterococcus faecalis. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as an agent in metal chelate reactions.
