Potassium molybdate is a glycol ether that is used as a stabilizer in the production of polyester resins. It has been shown to be genotoxic and cytotoxic in toxicological studies. The chemical stability of potassium molybdate was studied in the presence of a variety of chemicals and found to be stable over time. Potassium molybdate also increased the growth rate of Pueraria lobata seedlings by increasing the availability of Mg, K, Ca and P. These plants also showed increased tolerance to drought and high temperatures.
