Description:
1-(4-Nitrophenyl)azepane is a potent fxa inhibitor. It inhibits the serine proteases, such as thrombin, and has been shown to have anticoagulant effects in animal models. 1-(4-Nitrophenyl)azepane interacts with the active site of serine protease and competes with the substrate for binding to coagulation proteins. This inhibition leads to a reduction in coagulation and an increase in bleeding time.
