2-Ethyl-6-methylpyrazine is a chemical substance with the formula CH3CONH2. It is used as a flavorant and has been shown to have tyrosinase activity in human liver cells. The chromatographic method for the identification of methylpyrazines was developed using a model system of fatty acids.
