Description

N4-Benzoyl-2'-deoxycytidine is a fluorescent nucleoside that has been used to study the molecular interactions between sugar residues and the phosphate groups of nucleic acids. It is used as a reagent for glycosidation, which involves the formation of a glycosidic linkage between an alcohol group in a saccharide or oligosaccharide and the hydroxyl group in an aromatic acid.
