Description:3'-O-Benzoyl-2'-deoxy-N2-isobutyrylguanosine is a new antiviral nucleoside, which has been synthesized by reacting benzoyl chloride with 2'-deoxy-N2-isobutyrylguanosine monophosphate. It is also a novel DNA and RNA phosphoramidite monomer that can be used for the synthesis of oligonucleotides and oligoribonucleotides. 3'-O-Benzoyl-2'-deoxy-N2-isobutyrylguanosine is an activator of HIV reverse transcriptase, which leads to inhibition of viral replication.
