Description:
5'-O-tert-Butyldimethylsilyl-2'-deoxy-5-iodocytidine is a nucleoside that can be used as an activator for ribonucleosides. It has been shown to have anticancer, antiviral and antiviral activities. 5'-O-tert-Butyldimethylsilyl-2'-deoxy-5-iodocytidine is synthesized by the reaction of 2'-deoxycytidine with tertbutyldimethylchlorosilane in the presence of triethylamine. The product may be purified by crystallization or chromatography.
